A second season of Andor is coming to Disney Plus.

The first season of Andor wasn’t just good Star Wars storytelling; it was one of the best that Disney has had to offer so far. Eager fans have been patiently waiting for news of its season 2 release, and the mouse has finally confirmed the Rogue One prequel series will return in April 2025.
Under its new tagline, Andor: A Star Wars Story, the second season is arriving nearly two and a half years after season 1 wrapped. This next slate of episodes continues the story of rebel freedom fighter’s trying to bring down a tyrannical Empire that rules the galaxy. According to show runner Tony Gilroy, the 12 episode arc is said to be full of time jumps, with each covering a span of a few days before jumping forward years and leading up to the events that took place right before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. “I think people watching Rogue One, after watching Season 2, are going to see a different film,” Luna told Entertainment Weekly. “Everything will be signified differently knowing what had to happen for [Alan Tudyk’s K-2SO] to be there. It’s going to make you witness the journey of Rogue One in a different way, I think. And not just with K-2, but with many other characters. I think it’ll be really cool.”

Who else can’t wait to see what Tony Gilroy has in store for season 2?
It’s noteworthy that the Andor creator also wrote the original Bourne trilogy and did Michael Clayton, earning two Oscar nominations. Talk about Talent.
In the words of Meeno Peluce said in voice-over from my childhood favorite TV show Voyagers : “If you want to learn more about Andor and the Star Wars Universe, take a voyage down to your public library. It’s all in books!”
May the force be with you…
